Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) is proud to announce that it has exceeded its goal for facility-wide average patient satisfaction between October 2016 and December 2016 according to HealthStream.  Healthstream is an independent, national research company focusing on hospital patient satisfaction measurement and reporting.

A Legacy of Orthopedic Care Continues

Residents of Clarinda now have a new opportunity to receive hot nutritious meals delivered to their home.  Clarinda Regional Health Center’s (CRHC) Dietary team announces a new meal delivery service “CRHC Fresh Eats” beginning July 1st.  The delivered meal includes an entrée, side, vegetable, fruit or dessert and milk and costs $5 per meal.  For residents living outside the Clarinda city limits, CRHC Fresh Eats offers hot or frozen meals available for pick-up at CRHC by reservation.

CRHC Signs Agreements with Iowa Medicaid Groups

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) has signed agreements with all three of Iowa’s Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) effective on April 1, 2016. Iowa’s Medicaid health care providers were requested by the Iowa Department of Human Services to choose from at least one of the three MCOs.

CRHC Digital Mammography Passes State Quality Inspection for 7 Consecutive Years

Flu Vaccination Clinic Days Announced for CRHC and VFHC

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) and Villisca Family Health Center (VFHC) announced dates of the annual flu vaccination clinics.  CRHC will host a community flu vaccination clinic on Friday, October 2nd from 8-11:30am and 1-4:30pm in the conference rooms.  VFHC's community flu vaccination clinic will be held Monday, October 12th at the office located at 309 S. 5th in Villisca.  With no appointment necessary during these clinics, quadrivalent flu shots will be available.  Patients may chose to have insurance billed or self-pay $33 at the time of the vaccine. &nb...

Clarinda Regional Health Center Remains Operational During Clarinda Water Boil Order

Although Clarinda is under a water boil order due to a water main break at 9th & Main Streets, the Clarinda Regional Health Center remains operational. 

CRHC CEO Chris Stipe said, “We have systems in place to ensure patient safety.  In addition to maintaining supplemental water from the CTC, we are cooperating with the Clarinda Fire Department and the City of Clarinda for auxiliary water.  Our patients are safe.”

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) announces expanded orthopedic services to Southwest Iowa and Northwest Missouri. In partnership with Miller Orthopedic Specialists, orthopedic surgeon Dr. C. Kent Boese now provides treatment services including total joint replacement at CRHC.

Dr. Boese, Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstructive and Arthritis Surgery at Johns Hopkins University, began seeing patients at CRHC in February. He brings years of experience serving as orthopedic surgeon at Miller Orthopedics in Council Bluffs and Omaha.

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) invites the community to help celebrate 75 years of providing healthcare in Clarinda.  Throughout November and December, CRHC will be celebrating with a variety of activities including a special open house on December 11th from 4:30-6:30.  The anniversary event, located at 220 Essie Davison Drive in Clarinda, is held in conjunction with the Clarinda Chamber of Commerce’s “Chamber After Hours” program.  The open house will include a reception with refreshments and tours of CRHC.  The public is encouraged to attend.

   Page County’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provide the fastest response time in the state, according to The Des Moines Register’s July 13th edition. In recognizing the convenience and importance of electronic resources to our patients, CRHC now offers access to the Patient Portal, a software program which allows each patient to view his/her individualized medical record anytime and anywhere computer internet access is available.  The Clarinda Regional Health Center Patient Portal displays brief personal medical history, medications, allergies, patient medical problem lists, etc. dating back to 2005 in an online format.  Be watching for the added convenience of CRHC bill pay online as well!

The Clarinda Regional Health Center Emergency Department received a donation of over 250 toys, coloring books, crayon and marker boxes from the IWCC-Clarinda Campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  The toys are a welcome comfort to pediatric patients in CRHC's E.R. or to children of E.R. patients.  Both the CRHC E.R. and CRHC EMS departments utilize the toys.

Clarinda, IA (March 18, 2013) - Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) welcomed a group of Maryville, MO eighth-grade students Friday morning, March 15, for a tour of CRHC.  The student visit was to learn about the various jobs and roles of health care professionals.  Students were able to visit with the MercyOne-Clarinda medical helicopter crew, learning about the helicopter, the flight service, and what type of education it takes to become a flight paramedic or flight nurse.

CRHC Renovates Helipad

Clarinda Regional Health Center's (CRHC) helipad has been undergoing some renovation to accommodate the new 24-hour Mercy One - Clarinda medical helicopter service.  Updates include adding an on-site 6,000 gallon fuel tank, running water and electrical service, additional lighting, and fencing around both the helipad and the fuel tank.

These additions are part of a properly equipped location where the helicopter service is based, changing it from the typical small hospital "helistop" with no refueling or support services to a fully equipped and supported "heliport."

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) has announced it is adding a new in-house magentic resonance imaging (MRI) service to its line-up of digital radiology services in its new hospital and clinic facility.  The new CRHC MRI is an "Open Bore" system that will accommodate patients of all sizes.  It's also three-times more powerful than traditional open MRI's.  The new in-house MRI will operate Monday thru Friday during normal business hours, and will replace the twice-a-week mobile MRI currently servicing Clarinda.

Nearly 1,000 visitors walked through the doors of the new Clarinda Regional Health Center Hospital and Clinics building on Tuesday, December 20th.  Visitors were treated to a tour of the 71,100 square foot building from 2pm to 7pm.  First impressions find visitors arriving in a large central lobby and central check-in/admissions area bordered with a gift shop, two-way fireplace, coffee bar, and comfortable seating for those waiting for their appointment.

1st Helicopter Landing on New Helipad

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC), along with the assistance of Lifenet, held a test landing at the new CRHC hospital and clinics site on Thursday, December 1, 2011.  This was the first helicopter landing on the new helipad.  The visit by the LifeNet helicopter crew enabled them to acquaint themselves with the new location as well as test the beacon lighting system which is triggered by the incoming pilot upon approach.

Clarinda, IA (October 7, 2011) - The Clarinda Regional Health Center's (CRHC) digital mammography service has passed the annual Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) facility inspection conducted by the State of Iowa Department of Public Health's Bureau of Radiological Health.
