CRHC Continues Excellence in Patient Satisfaction, Bonuses Employees

Clarinda, IA (May 22, 2017): Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) is proud to announce it has exceeded its goal for facility-wide average patient satisfaction for the fourth consecutive quarter, according to results from HealthStream.  HealthStream is an independent, national research company focusing on hospital patient satisfaction measurement and reporting.

CEO Chris Stipe says “We are very happy to get the latest numbers from HealthStream for the first quarter of this year.  Between January and March, on average, 76.1% of our patients are giving us the highest possible satisfaction scores (Top Box) in the Clinic, ER and Inpatient Departments.”  The results put CRHC among the best in the nation with regard to patient satisfaction scores.

Stipe goes on to say, “Our consistency shows the strength of our culture in putting our patients first in everything we do. Our staff is certainly performing well and we are determined to keep improving our patient’s experience.”

Stipe adds, “This report gives us another opportunity to recognize our professional staff at CRHC.  Each employee will receive another $75 after-tax bonus.  Our leadership understands we cannot achieve such high level of performance without the focus and dedication of the entire staff.”

In total, the 2016/2017 budget passed by the CRHC Board of Trustees has allowed management to offer full-time employees a total of $300 in employee bonuses in the hospital’s current fiscal year.  The $300 bonus was a combination of achieving the hospital’s patient satisfaction goals twice, and a Christmas bonus.  In addition to the bonuses, employees have received two 1.5% base salary increase twice in the last nine months.  Those raises, combined with only a 10% increase over the last five years in employee contributions for health insurance, continues to make CRHC an employer of choice in Southwest Iowa
