CRHC Auxiliary Presents New Gifts to the Hospital
(Clarinda, IA) -- The CRHC Auxiliary, an organization comprised of dedicated volunteers and staff, recently presented CRHC with two new gifts. Both gifts exemplify the mission of the Auxiliary – which is to support the mission of the Hospital for providing exceptional care to patients.
The Auxiliary purchased a total of 9 new recliners for use in the patient rooms. These are more user friendly for both the patient and staff and come completely apart for ease and safety of cleaning. These chairs replace the ones which were purchased just over five years ago, when the new facility opened.
The second gift from the Auxiliary, is highly visible to patients as they come into the main entrance of CRHC. This new bench was purchased with memorial donations from Francis May Brown, Sue Whitehead, Leona Davison and Wanda Wynn, the mother of current Auxiliary member Deb Tornholm. These ladies, all former Auxiliary members, are honored on the memorial bench name plaque.
The memorial bench was made by CL Fabrication of Clarinda. It is coated to withstand the weather and stays cool to the touch. It is located on the east side of the pillar holding up the canopy by the main entrance and gives people a place to sit between the parking lot and the entrance. The Auxiliary wanted to publicly acknowledge the generosity of the donations made by our members and their families.
