EMs/Ambulance Services

CRHC’s EMS and Ambulance Service is a full-service, advanced life support, available 24 hours each and every day. Our EMS/Ambulance Service is housed in the Emergency Department (ER) allowing for quick response to 911 calls and instant availability for patient transfers. Proximity to the ER allows Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) to provide ER assistance and integrated care with our ER doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses.

CRHC’s EMS/Ambulance Service is a Critical Care Transport service providing the highest level of care for critically ill patients. The Ambulance Service operates a fleet of three ambulances fully equipped with the latest in advanced life support technology, as well as emergency medical response equipment and medication.

The EMS/Ambulance Service is staffed by 35 certified members, with a minimum of one, two-person crew in-house at all times. Due to patient transfers and multiple calls throughout most days, two crews are often on-site and available to respond at a moment’s notice.

CRHC’s EMS staff consist of:

  • 11 Paramedic Specialists (most advanced EMS certification)
  • 4 EMT-P's (Paramedic)
  • 5 EMT-I's (Intermediate)
  • 15 EMT-B's (Basic)

In addition to these EMS certifications, all of our EMS staff receive Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified training. Additionally, staff receives Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support(PHTLS) certification.

CRHC’s EMS/Ambulance Service is available for private patient transfers as well, whether across town or across the country. Contact the EMS department for more information (712) 542-8289.

The EMS/Ambulance Service is pleased to help with multiple community and school activities throughout the year as a public service. Look for our ambulances at Clarinda high school and middle school football games, Clarinda Academy and youth football football games, the Page County Fair, area parades and other outdoor public events.
