The CRHC Nursing Department is made up of many dedicated staff members. The Emergency Department has dedicated nursing staff to cover emergencies 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Med-Surg (in-patient wing) nursing staff are scheduled 24-hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year, and are dedicated and committed to taking care of our patients.
The Surgery Department staff are committed to working five days-a-week (Monday thru Friday) covering the Surgery, the Recovery Room, Surgery Clinic, and the Pre-Op, as well as Post-Op areas. On weekends, and after hours, the surgery staff rotate on-call to assure there are two staff members available for emergency surgeries, as well as traumas.
The Nursing Staff is made up of Registered Nurses; Licensed Practical Nurses; Certified Nurse's Aids; and Unit Coordinators. The entire staff realize that each of these people are important in the overall functioning of the department.
The entire staff maintains certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), and the RNs are all certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), as well as PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Nurses who cover in the ER are also certified in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course). Many of the nursing staff have additional certifications and education.
We are proud of our Nursing Department and are pleased we can provide exceptional care to the residents of Clarinda and surrounding communities.
