Clarinda Regional Health Center’s Radiology Department is committed to quality service and providing our patients with high-tech imaging. CHRC continues to invest in high quality imaging services such as the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS). This system has dramatically decreased reporting times while improving the way your imaging information is stored.
CRHC's Radiology Department is available 24/7 and has a board certified Radiologist on-call 24/7 utilizing the latest technology in image viewing and also has the capability to transfer to an off-site radiologist via the internet. Our technologists are nationally registered in CT and Mammography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). We meet all state and federal standards for licensure and provide the following services for our community:
Digital Mammography
Early detection saves lives! CRHC offers state-of-the-art digital mammography. Digital mammograms allow for faster image taking which means a quicker appointment. There's also the additional benefit of less radiation exposure with a digital mammogram.
Did you know you can schedule your own mammogram? Insurance and Medicare allow an annual mammogram that can be scheduled by you without a doctor's referral.
Schedule your mammogram at (712) 542-8221.
Bone Density Scanning
CRHC recently added Bone Density Scanning to it's line-up of services. A bone density test uses low dosage x-rays to measure how many grams of calcium and other bone materials are packed into a segment of bone. If you have some of the following risk factors, we encourage you to discuss the need for a bone density screening with your physician.
Risk Factors Include:
- Post Menopausal
- History of fractures
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Parathyroid disease
- Smoking
- Low body weight
Basic Diagnostic Radiology (better known as x-ray)
CRHC’s commitment to quality healthcare is demonstrated by our state of the art Computed Radiography (CR). All x-rays are digitally captured and viewed through computers.
Digital Fluoroscopy
All special procedures such as upper and lower GI studies are imaged digitally and viewed through computer. Digital Video Swallowing Function studies can be performed in conjunction with our in-house Speech Therapist.
Computed Tomography (better known as CT)
We currently provide service with a Siemens helical multi-slice scanner. The same quality equipment you would find in the city, only we take the time to make sure you're comfortable.
Ultrasound
We can take care of all your ultrasound imaging needs with the latest technology right here in Clarinda! Our sonographers are nationally registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
