As you walk through the hallways of our facility we hope you take the time to enjoy the specially curated artwork, many of which were photographed by a SWI native, Kimberly Watson.

Hello, I’m Kimberly Watson of Kimberly’s Impressions Photography. I am working on creating some wall art pieces for CRHC.

I live in Bedford, Iowa with my husband Kim. We have lived in Taylor County for over 30 years, but we are originally from Decatur County Iowa. We have a grown daughter and son who now live out of state and four grandchildren. I have been a hobbyist photographer since the 1980s when I first got a Cannon film camera. I now have a digital Nikon and use the advantages of digital photo enhancements.

In 2018, we had the opportunity to travel for a year and a half in the Midwest and Western states, and I decided to work on my photo skills to make the most of that time. I began taking online classes in photography, Photoshop, and also art to expand my enjoyment of capturing images.

Many things interest me that I photograph. I like landscapes, and I often shoot old wooden or metal buildings, rural settings, and antiques. I like Macro Photography (such as close-ups of flowers.) I have also tried to explore new genres and have been shooting Night and Astro Photography (such as the moon, Milky Way, and fireworks.)

I began selling my photos as cards and canvas prints in gift chops and fairs in 2020. It’s been really fun to share my images with people. One person will tell me that they recognize the location of a barn scene and another person might reminisce with me about sunflowers or poppies.

I am pleased to work with the staff at CRHC to create wall art that will highlight our local areas. We have much to enjoy and be proud of in Iowa. I hope that many people will find enjoyment in these prints and take the time to explore our local beauty.
