Dr. James Schrier is a Board-Certified surgeon who began his clinic at Clarinda Regional Health Center in 2023. He attended the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts for his Bachelor of Science and continued his education at the University of Iowa College of Medicine for his Doctorate. He has completed residencies at the University of Iowa in general surgery and family practice. His surgical experience and interests include but are not limited to Core General Surgery, oncology Laparoscopic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, Robotic Surgery with the DaVinci robot, and Bariatric and Revisional Bariatric Surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Schrier’s interests include hiking, traveling, home improvement projects, and spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Denver.
