Patient Family Advisory Council

Advancing Exceptional Care……with your help!

Our Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) partners patients and family members with hospital staff to improve the quality of care at Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC).

  • A patient and family advisor is someone who:

    • Wants to help improve processes and care for all patients and family members.

    • Gives feedback to CRHC based on experiences as a patient or family member.

    • Helps plan changes and expand services to improve care of patients.

  • Why should you become a Patient & Family Advisor?

If you have ideas on how to do things differently to improve care or processes at CRHC, you can join the PFAC team to have your voice heard

  • Who can be a Patient & Family Advisor?

No special qualifications are required to become an advisor. Anyone who has been a visitor, patient, or family member is welcome to attend.

Members who join and attend regularly will be required to complete our volunteer onboarding process.

  • What does a Patient & Family Advisor do?

    • Sharing experiences is an important way for us to learn what we do right and where we can improve!
    • Serve on the Patient and Family Advisory Council. The council meets regularly to discuss and plan improvements for hospital quality.
    • Speak up and share suggestions and potential solutions to help improve hospital care for all.
    • Work with people who may be different than you.
    • Listen to and think about what others say, even when you disagree.
    • Bring a positive attitude to discussions.
