Austin is originally from South Central Nebraska but moved to the area shortly after graduating from Peru State College in 2016. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Criminal Justice. He then received his Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in 2019 and his LMHC status in 2021. Austin originally entered the mental health field after finding a passion for helping youth through his work with Teammates mentoring programs, positions at long-term psychiatric treatment centers, work at Boys Town’s Residential Treatment Center in Omaha, NE, and time spent as a Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist. His primary experience has been in outpatient clinic settings, where he has worked with children, adolescents, adults, & older adults in individual therapy, group therapy, and family/couples therapy. Austin is currently trained in EMDR therapy, as well. Outside of work, you can likely find Austin spending time getting out of the house with his 3 children and wife, getting involved in community events and activities, or shooting hoops in his driveway.
