OB/GYN

Dr. Amy Bingaman was born outside of Chicago and has lived in six states, but after spending the most time in Iowa, she proudly considers herself an Iowan. Dr. Bingaman served in the United States Navy for 8.5 years, completing her internship and residency training in OB/GYN and continuing her service for an additional 4.5 years. She was stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia.

She returned to Iowa 15 years ago and has been practicing full-spectrum OB/GYN ever since. Her professional interests include adolescent gynecology, peri- and menopausal care, robotic surgery, LGBTQ care, and providing personalized options that help improve her patients’ lives.

Outside of work, Dr. Bingaman is happily married to a 50/50 farmer and is the mother of four. She enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, traveling, and running in her free time.
