Medical & Surgical Nursing

Clarinda Regional Health Center's (CRHC) Med/Surg Nursing Department is made up of many dedicated team members. Our well-trained nursing staff is ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient nursing care.

We care for many different types of in-patients: 

â–º     Patients of all ages; from pediatrics to geriatrics
â–º     Patients with acute illness
â–º     Post-op surgery recovery
â–º     Skilled nursing care to prepare for returning home
â–º     Maintaining comfort at the end of life

Our Med/Surg Nursing team includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nurse's Aides. The entire team maintains certification in BLS (Basic Life Support), and the RN's are certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), as well as PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Nurses who also work in the ER are certified in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation). CRHC uses a Hospitalist program to meet the specific needs of our hospitalized patients. This team of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners work hard to diagnose, stabilize, and treat our inpatients.
