Angela Krafka, ARNP

Angela was drawn to nursing by the blend of science, problem solving, and human connection that comes with the profession. Working in this field has provided her the opportunity to use her analytical thinking in a way that meaningfully impacts lives. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, Nebraska. Following graduation, she started her career as a bedside RN in the medical-surgical ICU and knew early on she would pursue an advanced degree. Angela worked for 4 years in critical care before obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from UNMC in Omaha, Nebraska where she focused on Acute Care in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP program. She chose hospital medicine because the complexity and challenges it brings allows for constant growth as a provider and as an individual. She enjoys the process of connecting with patients and their family while providing the education and reassurance that can change the entire trajectory of their hospital experience.
Outside of clinical practice Angela loves to travel, with a particular love for Europe - learning and exploring its history, culture and landscapes keeps her balanced and inspired. She also enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks. Angela mostly values her time at home and with her family. She's also developed a passion for sourdough which can be challenging and therapeutic at the same time.
