Occupational Therapist

Lanie grew up in Clarinda, Iowa, and earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Creighton University in 2026. Throughout her graduate education, she gained diverse clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, and rural healthcare, developing a strong foundation in patient-centered care.


Her clinical experience includes advanced fieldwork in acute inpatient rehabilitation at The University of Kansas Health System, where she provided care for patients recovering from burn injuries, neurological conditions, and degenerative diseases. She has also gained experience in outpatient rehabilitation, pediatrics, and neurological and trauma care across healthcare systems throughout the Midwest.


Lanie completed her doctoral capstone at Clarinda Regional Health Center, where she developed educational resources for patients and caregivers to support the unique needs of the rural community. She has a particular interest in acute care and rehabilitation settings, where she is passionate about empowering individuals across the lifespan to build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate in meaningful daily activities.


In her free time, Lanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and working towards visiting all 50 states!
