CRHC Board Members Earn Hospital Board Certification

This week CRHC officials are happy to share news of their star-rated Board of Trustees. CRHC Vice Chairman, Kathy Boysen, received her renewal of the prestigious three-star award for 2022 from the Iowa Hospital Association’s (IHA) Hospital Board Certification Program.
CHRC’s Board of Trustees members have received this three-star rating consecutively since 2019, which is the highest rating available and signifies that 100% of the board completed has the certification process. Only 7 of 100 critical access hospitals in Iowa have this award for 2022 and only 14 of 100 critical access hospitals have received a three-star designation at some point.
“We’re really proud of the board members we have,” shares CRHC CEO, Chuck Nordyke. “This award and their willingness to further educate themselves in both healthcare industry and governance goes to show how much they care about the success of our hospital and community.”
Through this certification program IHA has provided a framework to support Iowa hospitals in developing highly effective board members. Some of the goals of this program include governance best practices, encouraging the coordination of care, and best use of resources. The program requires new and returning trustees to complete a certification form and 12 hours of continuing board education over a period of two years.

Located at 300 N. 17th Street in Clarinda , Glow Medical Aesthetics will offer a variety of aesthetic and skincare services designed to help individuals feel confident and refreshed while receiving care close to home. Clarinda Regional Health Center invites the community to celebrate the opening of the Clarinda Regional Health–Community Pharmacy during an Open House on Tuesday, August 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Located at 210 Essie Davison Drive, Suite 1, Clarinda, Iowa, the Community Pharmacy officially opened on Monday, June 29, 2026, expanding access to convenient healthcare services for residents of Clarinda and the surrounding communities. Community members are encouraged to stop by during the open house to tour the pharmacy, meet the staff, learn about the services available, and enjoy light refreshments. The Community Pharmacy provides prescription services, medication counseling, prescription transfers, and convenient delivery services to help patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. The pharmacy is open to everyone, regardless of where they receive their healthcare services. Opening week will have reduced hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday, and will be closed on Saturday. CRH - Community Pharmacy is located at 210 Essie Davison Drive, Suite 1, in Clarinda, east of the hospital on the campus of Clarinda Regional Health Center. The pharmacy expands access to convenient healthcare services for residents of Clarinda and the surrounding communities. The pharmacy will provide prescription services, prescription transfers, and convenient delivery services to help patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. The pharmacy is open to everyone, regardless of where they receive their healthcare services.
