CRHC Confirms Second Positive Case Internally
Clarinda, IA | 6.5.2020
A message from Chuck Nordyke, CEO, Clarinda Regional Health Center.
I have just been informed of a second employee who has tested positive after being tested through our Test Iowa Site. This person is a middle-aged adult (41-60 years) and is mostly symptom free and doing well. Our thoughts and prayers are for this team member to remain symptom free. They are now quarantining at home until another test can be performed in accordance to the State Health Department’s recommendations.
I cannot emphasize enough my gratitude to all these folks for being on the frontlines and knowingly putting themselves at risk for something like this in order to assure our communities are receiving the care they need. We continue to require all staff, patients and visitors wear a mask while in our facility to help mitigate exposure.
It is important to be tested if you are having symptoms or have a possible exposure, if you feel you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with symptoms, call 712-542-8341 to set up an appointment with one of our providers, either in person or through a televisit or go to testiowa.com, complete the survey and follow there instructions. Once this has been completed, if you qualify for a test, you can have it done at CRHC via our drive through testing site on Monday, June 8th from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 10th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm or Friday, June 12th from 9:00am to 11:00am.
A contact investigation with Page County Public Health and IDPH is already being conducted. If you feel you may have been exposed or have any questions, please call Page County Public Health at 211.
