CRHC Donates to Local Effort Collecting School Supplies

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) is happy to share news of donations raised by staff at the hospital to benefit the First United Methodist Church and their effort to collect school supplies that benefit local children in our community.
“Everyone at CRHC is always willing and very generous when it comes to local fundraising opportunities,” states Bethany Muller, CRHC’s Marketing Manager. “We know this school year is going to present a lot of new challenges and the community has been so generous to the hospital during this time, so we jumped at the opportunity to help support kids and teachers during this unpreceded time.”
The program organizer for First United Methodist Church’s effort, Gail Wallin, was able to accept a large donation of school supplies this week along with a monetary donation of $775 that was raised by CRHC hospital staff and their families. The money donated will help Wallin and her committee purchase any other needed school supplies and backpacks.
The church will be distributing supplies collected on August 14th from 1-5 pm. The past several years, CRHC was set up as a donation collection site for staff and community members. Due to complications with COVID-19 CRHC was unable to be a drop off site this year, but still wanted to help out any way they could.
