CRHC Offering Physical Therapy Services in Bedford Clinic

Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) announced the opening of an outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic inside their Family Health Center in Bedford, Iowa. The new PT clinic will start seeing patients as soon as Monday, March 7th, 2022 and will be available for appointments every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 am until noon.
Physical Therapy Services available in the newly renovated Bedford Family Health Center,now located at 303 Pearl Street, will offer strengthening and mobility, treatment for back and neck pain, orthopedic injuries, fall risk or balance assessments, vestibular rehabilitation, and more. Initial appointments will need to be scheduled at CRHC, but follow-up visits can be scheduled at the Bedford Clinic.
“We are very excited to expand our physical therapy footprint and offer services to the Bedford community,” shares Emily Wood, Director of Therapy Services at CRHC. “We have some really great therapists on our team who will provide exceptional care and added convenience to patients in that area.”
Therapists from CRHC will be seeing patients for therapy services in the Bedford Clinic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Andrew Voss is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, receiving his education from the University of Iowa, and has been with CRHC for many years. He has a passion for outpatient sports medicine, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and geriatric/fall risk prevention. Mike Hartman graduated from Clarkson College with a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant degree and has been providing in-patient and out-patient therapy services for CRHC for over 15 years.
The Physical Therapy Departmentat Clarinda Regional Health Center currently offers physical, occupational and speech therapy needs for both in and outpatient needs. The department is available Monday – Friday from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm. Clarinda Regional Health Center is inviting the community to stop by and see the new Clarinda Regional Health–Community Pharmacy during an Open House on Tuesday, April 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pharmacy is located at 210 Essie Davison Drive, Suite 1, in Clarinda. The open house will give community members a chance to check out the new pharmacy building and learn more about the services that will soon be available. Light refreshments will be provided. The new pharmacy is part of Clarinda Regional Health Center’s ongoing efforts to improve access to convenient healthcare services for residents in Clarinda and the surrounding communities. It is another example of CRHC’s continued commitment to Advancing Exceptional Care close to home. Community members are encouraged to stop by, take a look around, and help celebrate this exciting addition to the Clarinda Regional Health Center campus.

Bryon Schaeffer, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Clarinda Regional Health Center, has been recognized by Becker's Healthcare as one of its “ Hospital and Health System Chief Medical Officers to Know in 2026 .” The national recognition highlights physician leaders who are advancing clinical quality, strengthening care teams, and shaping the future of healthcare. Since assuming the CMO role in 2018, Dr. Schaeffer has provided leadership and oversight for CRHC’s physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, and clinical departments.
