CRHC utilizing Telehealth to provide for more patients

In efforts to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) is now offering telehealth medical clinic and mental health clinic visits to better meet the needs of our current patients and surrounding communities. Patients of all ages will be able to take advantage of this new service beginning Thursday, March 26th. Telehealth appointments will be available Monday – Friday from 8 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am until noon.
Most CRHC providers will be able to interact with patients via their phone, tablet or computer that has audio, video, and Internet capabilities. “Through the use of technology, we can review your current symptoms, medications you are currently on, and medical history, then come up with a treatment plan which may include additional testing, or prescription changes,” according to Bryon Schaeffer, MD, Chief Medical Officer.
“During this unprecedented healthcare crisis we’ve been looking at ways to better serve our community,” explained CRHC CEO, Chuck Nordyke. Telehealth is an obvious answer and I think this will help provide quick, easy, and accessible medical screenings in a way that keeps this virus away from susceptible populations. It also ensures that people continue to comply with social distancing and allows everyone the opportunity to receive the care and instruction they need during this time.”
Patients can call 712-542-8330 to schedule their telehealth visit Monday through Friday from 8AM – 7PM and Saturday from 9am – Noon. For more information about CRHC’s services and providers visit ClarindaHealth.com
