CRHC was recognized for its commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles among employees, including updates to the hospital cafeteria with new healthy food options and clear nutrition labeling. Additionally, CRHC’s Employee Wellness Program, which encourages healthy living through a points-based incentive system, played a key role in earning this CRHC this recognition. The Healthiest State Annual Awards celebrate workplaces, schools, individuals, and communities across Iowa who are making strides to improve the physical, social, and emotional well-being of Iowans. Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) invites the public to a ribbon cutting celebration for the newly renovated and named "Wellness Roots" Garden on Wednesday, May 21st, from 4–6 p.m . The event is held in conjunction with Iowa Kids Garden Day and will highlight exciting new features in the garden space on the NW corner of CRHC's campus. The refreshed garden now includes a sensory garden and several improvements to the CRHC All-Star Sprouts Kids Garden area, creating a more engaging and accessible environment for children and families. The celebration will feature activities for kids, snacks, drinks, and a chance to explore the new garden enhancements. It’s a great opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate this unique space focused on wellness and fun.
