CRHC was recognized for its commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles among employees, including updates to the hospital cafeteria with new healthy food options and clear nutrition labeling. Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) invites the public to a ribbon cutting celebration for the newly renovated and named "Wellness Roots" Garden on Wednesday, May 21st, from 4–6 p.m . The event is held in conjunction with Iowa Kids Garden Day and will highlight exciting new features in the garden space on the NW corner of CRHC's campus. The refreshed garden now includes a sensory garden and several improvements to the CRHC All-Star Sprouts Kids Garden area, creating a more engaging and accessible environment for children and families. The celebration will feature activities for kids, snacks, drinks, and a chance to explore the new garden enhancements. It’s a great opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate this unique space focused on wellness and fun. Clarinda Regional Health Center will be hosting it’s first “Wise & Well’ Health Expo from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday, April 8th, at J Bruner’s to bring health awareness to individuals 50 and older. This event will bring educational opportunities to learn about various topics that covers things like: Medicare Counseling and resources, oncology and breast cancer services, as well as presentations given by CRHC providers themselves. In addition to educational opportunities, guests will also be able to visit health screening booths where they can schedule appointments, get their blood pressure checked, and receive vaccines. Alongside the health and wellness activities, J Bruner’s will provide a catered meal of sliders, a couple side dishes, a fresh salad, and dessert. The meal is for all participants and will begin to be served at 5:30p.m. J Bruner’s is located at 117 N 15th Street in Clarinda, IA.
